Delegate Jay Jones Endorses Steve Heretick for Re-Election
NORFOLK, Va.—Delegate Steve Heretick (D-79) announced today that fellow Delegate Jay Jones (D-89) has endorsed his re-election for the Virginia House of Delegates. Del. Jones is currently running for Virginia Attorney General.
"I've worked closely with Delegate Steve Heretick over the years to pass Medicaid expansion and prioritize alternative energy solutions for our region,” said Del. Jones.“Steve is a true public servant who has focused for decades on issues that directly affect our working families, first in Portsmouth and now across the Commonwealth. I'm proud to call him a friend and to support his re-election to the House of Delegates."
Heretick is running for his fourth term in the House, where he can continue to champion building a green energy economy for Hampton Roads, reforming the criminal justice system, and expanding access to affordable health care for all of Virginia’s working families.

###Democrat Stephen E. “Steve” Heretick represents the 79th District of the Virginia House of Delegates which includes parts of the cities of Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Portsmouth. He was first elected to the General Assembly in 2015, and serves on the committees for Counties, Cities, and Towns, Courts of Justice, Finance, and Labor and Commerce. Delegate Heretick also serves on six subcommittees, three of which he Chairs: Insurance, Land Use, and State Taxation.
